May 16, 2019 · Replacing valve cover gaskets,grommets,pcv grommet/valve, half moons, plenum gaskets, timing belt and complete kit with water pump, rear main seal and oil pan gasket. Oil pan and rear main was leaking thus the reason for pulling the engine to do the work. I figured since it was out might as well do the timing kit. I have a job ahead of me.

On 3S-FE and 5S-FE engines, turn the crankshaft pulley and align the 0mark on the lower (No. 1) timing belt cover. Install the timing belt and check the valve timing as follows: Align the matchmarks that you made previously, and install the timing belt onto the camshaft pulley.
